About the role
B&G Industrial Services Ltd. is hiring an experienced Industrial Millwright to join our steel manufacturing and industrial fabrication team in Thornloe, ON. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role involving installation, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery and industrial systems in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on production and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals
- Align, dismantle and reassemble machinery and components
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic system issues
- Replace or repair worn or defective parts using hand and power tools
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Support fabrication and welding teams as required for repairs and installations
- Follow all health and safety procedures in an industrial shop environment
- Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas
Requirements
- Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) or equivalent certification/experience
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environment
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of performing heavy industrial work
- Valid driver’s license (asset for site travel roles)
Work environment
- Industrial fabrication and maintenance shop setting
- Exposure to noise, dust, heat and heavy machinery
- Occasional overtime and emergency call-ins may be required
- PPE is mandatory at all times
